Family Fun!
Ever wanted to get the whole family involved in dart playing? Now you can share the fun with the entire family starting at a young age!
Most people think that darts are only meant for grownups and that kids have to wait until they are old enough to handle the game and the rules, however this is not the case. When your child is in the toddler stages you can get them familiar with darts in general by purchasing Velcro darts and a board. This is a great way to introduce the game to your children and you can easily transition the child to magnetic darts as they continue to grow.
Magnetic darts would be the next step when gradually getting your child familiar with the game. Magnetic darts can be used when you feel your child is old enough and they can handle the responsibility. Magnetic darts will get them familiar with where they need to place the dart on the board, while making sure they are still safe from any flying darts! As the child gets older you can start to explain the rules of the game and start to play with them.
Eventually when the child is used to the magnetic darts and shows interest in learning how to play with “mom and dad’s darts” you can show them how to play with a real board and practice set of darts. When first introducing your children to the real darts, you may want to use soft tips so they do not get injured easily. When you feel like they are ready to play on their own, buy them their own set that is just for them and start playing! It’s never too early to get the family involved and start having fun!
Until Next Time!
