Slim Flights
Why use Slim flights over the traditional Standard flight?
Slim flights are smaller than standard flights and are generally used on lighter weighted soft tip darts. Using slims over standard flights may benefit you by allowing your darts to pierce through the air for faster speeds and with less drag, help reduce bounce-outs, tighter grouping, and less damage to your flights.
Unlike standards, slim flights are less space-consuming and are great if you'd prefer to throw harder, don't want to lob your darts, and if you're using lighter darts or short shafts. Slim flights benefit soft tip darters because soft tip darts are often lighter, and requiring a harder throw to stay inside board. If your darts stick in the board at the high, upward angle (over 10 degrees) you may want to use slim flights. Smaller flights can help by allowing the dart to drop slightly when thrown and hopefully reduce the bounce-out factor.
